Thanks to a generous donation from The Harold A. Winstead Charitable Foundation, the grounds surrounding Jewish Collaborative Services’ new home, the Grace and Wesley S. Alpert Building, are lush and lovely. The Winstead Gardens will eventually border the property on all four sides and will include a restful gathering area for staff members, with picnic tables and more.
“We are so grateful to the members of the Trust’s distribution committee – Norman J. Bolotow and Philip Weinstein, who are Harold Winstead’s nephews, and Benjamin G. Paster,” says Sara Ades Goodwin, director of Major Gifts for JCS. “This gift from The Harold A. Winstead Charitable Foundation, a long-time annual donor to Jewish Family Service of Rhode Island, in memory of the late The Harold A. Winstead, will allow us to improve our greenspace surrounding our beautiful new home and maintain those plantings over time.” We are creating a plaque that will adorn The Winstead Gardens in perpetuity, she adds.
