Roberta L. Ragge, MS, ALA

Executive Director, The Phyllis Siperstein Tamarisk Assisted Living Residence

Roberta directs operations at the Tamarisk Assisted Living Residence, including Renaissance Memory Support, Celebrations Adult Day Services, and the residence’s wellness, fitness, Gold Key and Concierge service programs. She has been with the agency since 2001, managing the Adult Day program before becoming Executive Director.

Under Roberta’s leadership, Tamarisk has become Rhode Island’s industry leader in service provision and best practice in the areas of memory care and staff training. She embraces the concepts of servant leadership and a philosophy of care that supports the body, mind and spirit of every resident.

A committed eldercare professional with more than 30 years experience, she is known for her cutting-edge work with elders facing memory disorders. She was instrumental in developing the Dining for Dementia and Restorative Dining programs and implementing them in the adult day care setting.

Roberta is a licensed assisted living administrator, occupational therapist, and geriatric interdisciplinary practitioner. She serves on the Board of the RI Assisted Living Association and as a mentor with Rhode Island College’s Health Care Administration program. She also works with Guiding Eyes for the Blind, among other organizations. Roberta received her Bachelor of Science from Rhode Island College and her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy/Orientation and Mobility for the Blind from Boston University.
