Who is Lifeline RI for?

Lifeline RI is a personalized medical alert service to anyone in Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts who is looking for a hassle-free, contract-free, and truly individualized alert service to help them enjoy their lifestyle and independence.

How much does Lifeline cost?

Basic Lifeline service, including the Help Button, the communication device, and ongoing access to our 24-hour Response Center, costs just a little more than $1 a day. The AutoAlert option costs slightly more. There are no hidden fees, and you pay monthly, with no long-term contract. Can I get Lifeline RI for my loved one? What if I live out of state?

Many of our clients have service arranged and/or paid for by relatives, including family who live out of state! As long as the original installation occurs within our geographic reach of Rhode Island or southeastern Massachusetts, we can provide your loved one with service.

How long will it take to get my Lifeline RI set up?

In most cases, your personalized Lifeline RI emergency response system will be set up within 3-5 business days. The in-home installation itself usually takes less than half an hour by our install technician who will educate you about the service, answer any questions, test coverage, and walk you through the process of making a call for help. Once it’s connected, simply activate the button to reach the response center for help.

How will I know if my equipment needs servicing?

Lifeline RI equipment is smart tech, which means it is self-checking and notifies our local response center if it detects a power failure, low battery, or a button that needs to be replaced. Our team will arrange a time to come to you to make any necessary repairs, battery changes, or changes for no additional fee.

Will Lifeline work from anywhere in my house?

In general, you can use the Help Button to call for help from anywhere in or around your home, although the range varies depending on your home’s construction and distance from the communication device. Buttons are waterproof and therefore designed to work in the shower or bath.

Does Lifeline work while I'm on vacation or running errands?

Lifeline On-The-Go uses GPS and four other location technologies to help our responders pinpoint your exact location, wherever you go. You can run errands, visit family, or head down to the beach house with confidence knowing that we’ve got you covered!

Is Lifeline RI available to people in assisted living communities?

Yes! Lifeline RI services are available to individuals living at home, in senior housing, or in assisted living facilities. Lifeline provides an extra measure of security for those who receive some assistance but who do not have someone caring for them at all times.
