“A community is too heavy for anyone to carry alone.”
Deuteronomy 1:10
The unveiling of JCS’ Donor Wall, comprised of variously colored panels, identifies the names of our generous donors who supported the $4 million Past, Present, Future campaign. The Donor Wall offers an opportunity to recognize all who have shown their support to our agency, says JCS Chief Development Officer Sara Ades Goodwin. “Many of these donors have been giving long before JCS became a merged agency*.”
The colored panels on the wall were artfully selected from JCS’ brand colors and complement the soothing color palette of JCS’ building at 1165 North Main Street in Providence, which is named in memory of Grace and Wesley Alpert. Funds from the Grace K. and Wesley S. Alpert Foundation enabled JCS to purchase and renovate the building. “We are so grateful to the Foundation and the many other organizations, families, and individuals who have supported JCS’ mission by contributing to the campaign,” says JCS President and CEO Erin Minior.
After postponing the donor wall installation and campaign celebration several times due to COVID, a decision was made to invite donors, by appointment only, for a 30 min visit to see the building and donor wall. All tours include a chance to meet with a program manager of the donors’ choice as well as with JCS President and CEO. While the Past, Present, Future campaign officially closed at the end of our 2020 fiscal year, there is still plenty of space for additional donors’ names, along with many naming opportunities available, says Goodwin.”
